Non-Executive Director, World of Books

I am currently a Non-Executive Director of World of Books, the largest seller of used books in the world. I initially joined the company as Chief Financial and Operating Officer in 2017 and became CEO in 2019, before transitioning to a NED role in 2024. Under my leadership, we successfully scaled the business to 800 employees worldwide and annual sales in excess of £200 million. We achieved B-Corp status in 2019 and completed a secondary buyout from Bridges Fund Management to Livingbridge in 2021.

Before World of Books, I served as Finance Director and then Managing Director of the property services group Countrywide plc, which was owned by US PE firms Apollo Global Management and Oaktree Capital, where I led multiple acquisitions and achieved a successful exit through an IPO in 2013.

I enjoy sharing my experience as CEO, and now NED, under PE-ownership and look forward to connecting with leaders who are new to private equity.
