Paul Galligan

I am currently the CEO of Bionic, the leading comparison platform for essential services like energy, insurance, finance, and connectivity for UK SMEs. Bionic connects businesses with solutions from a curated platform of providers, leveraging specialist technology. We offer comparison, switch management, customer service, and renewals. ECI invested in Bionic as part of a management buyout in 2017, and I joined as CEO in 2018, shortly after this investment. Over the five-year period with ECI’s support, we scaled the business via a combination of M&A and organic growth, which allowed us to complete a successful exit to OMERS Private Equity in 2022, generating a 4.8x return for ECI.

Prior to Bionic, I spent 6 years as Managing Director at Compare the Market, part of BGL Group and Managing Director at Bennetts Motorcycling Services.
