Since 2015, Humphrey Cobbold has held the role of CEO at PureGym, one of Europe’s largest gym operators. Under his leadership, the company achieved a successful exit from CCMP to Leonard Green in 2017 and secured £300 million in development capital from KKR in 2021, resulting in a valuation of approximately £1.5 billion.

Leveraging his extensive 30-year experience, Richard will provide an overview of the PE deals market for the upcoming year helping our CEO guests understand the implications it could have for their businesses.

Former CEO, GL Education

Greg was previously the CEO of GL Education, the leading provider of benchmarking, formative and diagnostic assessments to UK and international schools and school groups. He joined the business in 2013 and took the business through a digital transformation whilst diversifying geographically to earn nearly half of its revenues outside the UK. In 2016 he successfully led a SBO to Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, and then sold the business to Renaissance Learning in 2023.

Jon is a private equity value enhancement expert who spent 13 years with two private equity houses: LDC, where he built the value enhancement team before becoming COO, and then Inflexion, where he developed their portfolio reporting and value creation approaches. Jon will be sharing his advice on how to reset expectations with investors and deliver growth through tough market conditions.
